Play Fulford, York, it has a tough opening, with the first three holes all challenging par 4s. A stern test even for the best players. The springy heathland turf is easy to walk on, while the mature woodland makes for a lovely setting. (6166 metres, Par 72, SSS 72)   Day 2 Play Pannal Golf Club, Harrogate. Superb views enhance the course that is laid out on a stretch of gorse-covered, tree-lined land. The total yardage of the course is 6055 metres with a SSS of 72 and a par of 72. The club has hosted many tournaments including the PGA Seniors.   Day 3 Play 36 holes at Alwoodley, Leeds. The course is natural moorland in character. Springy fairways cut through a profusion of heather, gorse and shrubs, with the trees particularly striking in autumn. In addition to its scenic beauty, the course is cunningly bunkered and has undulating and interesting greens. It was the first course to be designed by the famous golf architect, Dr Alister MacKenzie, whose other masterpieces included Augusta National.
