Day 1 Arrive Glasgow/Edinburgh Airport, met by AGS Representative, collect auto or meet your private driver/guide, head north to Nairn stay 3 nights Claymore House Hotel.

 

Day 2 Play Royal Dornoch, ranked #16 in the world and known as the greatest northern course.

 

Day 3 Play Nairn, traditional seaside course, one of the best in the country. It is regularly chosen for national championships and staged the 1999 Walker Cup Matches.

 

Day 4 To the Red House Hotel, Cruden Bay for 1 night. Play Cruden Bay, a top ranked links course with spectacular views over the North Sea.

 

Day 5 Head south and play Carnoustie, one of the most difficult Open Championship courses in Britain. The treacherous Barry Burn is a hazard that lost the Open for Jean Van de Velde. Onto the Scores Hotel St. Andrews for 3 nights.

 

Day 6 Play St. Andrews Old course famous as the ‘Home of Golf’ this 600-year-old course is a formidable challenge. The course is known for its 112 bunkers, some of which are especially famous e.g. 'Hell' on the long 14th, 'Strath' on the short 11th and the Road Bunker at what is probably the most famous golf hole in the world, the 17th or Road Hole Another peculiar feature of the Old Course is the double greens where the outward and inward holes are cut on the same putting surface.

 

Day 7 Play St. Andrews New course, over 100 years old but gaining recognition, was ranked #12 in Scotland top 100 courses recently.

 

Day 8 Depart from Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport.

Claymore House Hotel, Nairn — is a classic Victorian House and provides excellent service. Guests can chose to dine in the in the ambient Restaurant Bar, with open fires for cooler evenings, or in the slightly more formal Dining Room with attached Conservatory Lounge. Both offer the best in Scottish and Continental cuisine complimented by an extensive but moderately priced wine list. All rooms have en-suite facilities and are well furnished and have all modern amenities.

The Red House Hotel — is situated in the tranquil village of Cruden Bay overlooking Cruden Bay Golf course. You can expect a traditional Scottish welcome and excellent service. Nearby are opportunities for angling, bird watching and the haunting ruins of Slains Castle Tower overlooking the cliffs of the rugged beautiful coast.

Scores Hotel — situated only yards from the first tee of the Old Course at St. Andrews, the Scores Hotel commands magnificent views of St. Andrews Bay and the historic clubhouse of the Royal and Ancient. Adjacent is the British Golf Museum while the town of St. Andrews, which represents a veritable treasure trove of one thousand years of Scottish heritage, is just a short walk away. The hotel occupies two former fashionable townhouses, which date back to 1880, giving guests a palpable sense of history and tradition. Each of the Scores Hotel’s 30 bedrooms is en-suite and offers a full range of modern facilities.

Many guestrooms have panoramic sea views, while others command views over the hotel gardens. A choice of bars includes the aptly named Scorecard Bar, which is adorned with golfing memorabilia including a collection of cards from championships played over the Old Course by some of the game’s legends.
