 Dromoland Castle, Newmarket -on-Fergus — is a massive turreted castle dating from the 19th century when it replaced the original castle built in 1686 by the O’Briens, high kings of Ireland. The property is in 400 acres of beautiful wooded grounds and is situated just eight miles from Shannon airport. It is now a deluxe hotel with splendid drawing rooms, stately halls and luxurious bedrooms. There is a challenging 18 hole golf course. - Adare Manor — is situated in the small village of Adare, 10 miles south of Limerick. It is a 19th century Tudor mansion set in an 840-acre estate.
