The Biella 'Le Betulle' Golf Club, is in the foothills of the mighty Alps. It is a beautiful golf course often ranked as Italy's #1. There are elevated tees and dog-leg holes as it winds its way through the dense forests of aged birches, passing ponds and streams on undulating terrain. It has well-conditioned greens and tree-lined fairways with craftily positioned bunkers, rocky outcrops and water hazards, a demanding and challenging course for all standards of golfers. Biella
The Castelconturbia Golf Club, was originally founded in1898. The modern 27 holes golf course built by Robert Trent Jones Sr. is normally ranked among the top ten courses in continental Europe. It has hosted the Italian Open, the course record of 66 is held by Josä Maria Olazabal and Costantino Rocca. There are three nine-hole loops with several elevated tees set in wonderfully natural undulating parkland. The greens have challenging slopes and borrows. (Red and Blue: 6411 metres or 6945 yards, Par 72)
Castelconturbia
Villa D'Este Golf Club, is considered one of the most challenging and difficult par 69's in Europe and has hosted many International Amateur competitions. Set in the hills overlooking Lake Montorfano, the club, founded in 1926, is surrounded by a spectacular forest of over 30,000 chestnut, pine and birch trees. With this backdrop of incomparable beauty, this little corner of paradise always has always been a favourite haunt of golfers worldwide. (5.844 metres or 6331 yards, par 69) The course is no longer owned by the hotel of the same name, it is about 12kms from the hotel. Open March to December, closed on Tuesdays.
Villa D'Este
Bogogno Golf Club, has two highly ranked Championship courses designed by Robert von Hagge and combining technical quality, natural beauty and personality.
The 'Del Conte' course has a "links" course feel with wide fairways, open spaces, various flattish areas, large lakes and wild rough at the edges, while the outer areas are framed by the peaks of the Monte Rosa mountain chain. The earth mounds create dune-like definition to many fairways and there is some serious bunkering. Close-cut grass around the greens gives some chip-and-run possibilities as you close in on the hole.
The "Bonora" is a parkland course that spread over a hilly area. Ponds and streams are present on several holes creating threatening water hazards. Expansive bunkering and quite thick rough require some straight-hitting and good course management. (6488m or 7029 yards, par 72)
Bogogno
Milan Golf Club, is a natural and classic parkland course with 27 excellent holes on the site of the former hunting lodge. It is one of Italy's most prestigious golf clubs, frequent home to the Italian Open and has an annual encounter with St Andrews R&A. The fairways are wide and greens are fast and true, several are somewhat "pudding-bowl" shaped and require good approach shots to stay on the green. (6239 metres or 6759 yards, Par 72).)
Milan
Barlassina Golf Club, is located between Milan and Como in a quiet and rural setting. It is a quality parkland layout that is relatively flat. Avenues of mature trees combine with stylish fairways, greenside bunkering and gentle dog-legs. Water is not a threat and with generally good-width fairways and reasonable rough you have the opportunity to make a good score if you stay out of the trees and the bunkers. (6197 metres or 6713 yards, Par 72).
Barlassina
Le Robinie Golf Club, is a demanding course but with five tees for each hole, it is suitable for all golfers. Big hitters will like the wide fairways, but risk the lake-size water hazards particularly the 9th and 10th holes, which wrap around one lake, and the 17th and 18th holes that encircle another. There are many distinctive holes, the 4th hole was recently included in Golf World's list of the top 500 holes.(6250 metres or 6771 yards, Par 72).
Le Robinie
Golf Club des Iles Borromées, is a dramatic and testing course starting from the first hole, a par-4 with significant undulations and an immediate hazard with water crossing the fairway. The course is 500 metres above sea level with a large silver birch and pine forest above Lake Maggiore. with its vivid colours, the endless variety of trees and flowers. There is a stiff climb on the back-nine which peaks at the long-par-3 13th with splendid views over the lake and the 18th tee will provide more exciting views. (6122 metres or 6632 yards, Par 72)..
Iles Borromées
Bergamo Golf Club, 'L'Albenza' has a wonderful course, 27 holes of high technical standard, it has staged the Italian Open. There are steep-sided banks and fast running streams in a pre-Alpine setting. All three nines have a strong layout, well-shielded greens, many tight tree-lined fairways and plenty of undulation. The par 5-holes in particular are long with small well-protected greens, many trees and streams. (6088 metres or 6595 yards, Par 72).
Bergamo

Florence Golf Club Ugolino is a natural course in the Chianti hills, not long but challenging, particularly because of its notorious sloping fairways. It exploits the natural Tuscan landscape: the cypress trees and olive trees, the slopes that curve and follow the magnificent scenery. The small greens, some with two or more levels, are often well-defended. Play shot by shot, with great attention and caution. (5672 m. or 6145 yards, Par 72)..
Florence Ugolino
Pavoniere Golf &Country Club is between Prato and Florence, in an ancient park of a Medici Villa, now an excellent Arnold Palmer Golf Course. Features are long fairways and four tees for each hole, very undulating large greens and many water hazards. The 13th is a Par 3 that not many will reach with an iron. The difficult 18th is a dog-leg to the right of over 400m, you can reach the green in two ways: two safe strokes before the lake in front of the green or a long drive over the lake to the right of the tee, in order to reach the green more easily with the second stroke. (6173 metres or 6687 yards, Par 72).
Le Pavoniere
The Montecatini Golf Course is hilly and fits well in the Tuscan landscape. The course is complex with natural water hazards on at least five holes, a deep gorge, well placed fairway bunkers, high trees as obstacles and some difficult out of bounds. The 10th tee shot is tricky crossing a lake, the tee shot on the 18th is back over the lake to a small green requiring minimum carry of 135 meters (146 yards). (5932 m. or 6426 yards, Par 72).
Montecatini
Terme de Saturnia Golf course enjoys the breathtaking scenery of the valley of Saturnia,.Tuscany Maremma's mild climate and nearby hot springs make the course an ideal all-year-round destination for a game. It is gently undulating with ascending and descending fairways, full of hazards and bunkers defending wide and long greens.In the early morning, deer, porcupines, hares, pheasants and many different species of birds common in the Maremma can often be seen. (6294 metres or 6818 yards, Par 72).
There is a golf school, driving range and practice range with four greens providing players with the sensation of playing for real, complemented by a pitching and a putting green.
Terme de Saturnia
Golf Club Poggio dei Medici is in Mugello, a particularly beautiful Tuscan landscape Northeast of Florence. It is a large golf course that winds its way up and down the rolling terrain, with many wonderful holes along the way. Fairways are wide and the large greens are undulating, plenty of stylish bunkering tests your accuracy. A links-like openness characterises much of the course, although the par-4 1st and par-5 13th are both attractively lined by woodland. (6397 m, or 6930 yards, Par 72).
Poggio dei Medici
Cosmopolitan Golf & Country Club is a relatively flat but cleverly arranged course; hazards include sand dunes, and water on 11 holes making play very stimulating. Most greens are large and the fairways have been strategically sculpted to define play. Both 9 and 18 are par 5 and finish at the clubhouse following water carries.
The course is said to be based traditional Scottish links and has magnificent surrounding scenery. (6137 m, 6648 yards, Par 72).
Cosmopolitan
Castelfalfi Golf Club - Mountain Course is 300 m above sea level amongst the hilly landscape of upper Tuscany. It is truly beautiful, with some spectacular views and lots of water hazards. Use of the woodland allows a feeling of individuality on most fairways. Exellent holes are 9 and 18, diving down to a peninsular green in the direction of the Castello, provide a real excitement to a game of golf. (6351 meters or 6880 yards, Par 72) A second Lakes course is under construction.
Castlefalfi

Sheraton Parco de Medici - is a technically demanding course, the greens are fast and there are water hazard consisting of ditches and ponds found around the immaculate greens and approaches to them. The par-3 15th is played to a heavily bunkered green surrounded by water. Also surrounded by water on three sides of their greens are 3 short par-4s and the par-4 9th and par-5 18th. (White/Blue: 6417 metres or 6952 yards, Par 72).
Parco de Medici
Le Querce ('The Oak Tree') is an excellent but difficult Championship course, just 25 miles from Rome City centre and always in Italy's top 10. Many fairways have severe bunkering, some are wide and some very tight. The fast undulating greens also can be heavily bunkered and water will come into play on four or five occasions. The panoramic splendour of the course is renowned. (6052 metres or 6556 yards, Par 72).
Le Querce
Circolo del Golf Acquasanta istechnically quite stimulating and constantly demands good course management and skilful shot-making. The natural beauty is enchanting as are the archaeological sites. Most prominent is the arches of an ancient aqueduct. Also nearby are the Via Appia Antica and the ancient tomb of Cecilia Metella. You will also have views of the cupola of St. Peter's. (5835 metres or/ 6381 yards, Par 71).
Roma Acquasanta
Marco Simone Golf Club is on elevated undulating land in the grounds of an 11th century castle. It is to the east of Rome and from the 8th tee you get a marvellous view of the Dome of St. Peter's. It is one of Rome's most challenging courses, technically quite difficult. The 2nd makes an excellent signature hole with the castle and its tower mirrored in a pond that separates the teeing ground from the putting surface. The luxury clubhouse is very impressive. (6343 metres or 6872 yards, Par 72).
Marco Simone
Olgiata Golf Club has an 18-hole West course and a 9-hole East course. It has twice hosted the World Cup. The beautiful tree-lined and undulating parkland layout has many dog-legs and carefully crafted holes sometimes on gently undulating terrain. Water is not often in play, but the avenues of mature trees, fairway and greenside bunkering demand your concentration to score well.(27 holes, 6,347 metres or 6875 yards, par 72 and 2,497 metres or 2705 yards, par 35).
Olgiata
Country Club Castelgandolfo has a spectacular setting in the crater of a now inactive volcano. Carved through woodland, around huge expanses of water, there are many hazards and fantastic natural beauty. You get some width off the tees, but the greens are fast, undulating and some have steep slopes. The 4th hole is consistently in the top 500 most beautiful holes in the world. (6300 metres or 6825 yards, Par 72).
Castelgandolpho
Parco di Roma golf course is embedded between Roman hills, built by top-architect P. B. Dye and characterised by constant undulations some mesmerising greens, bunkers, forests and wonderful views. The testing closing two holes are tight to a small lake running from tee-to-green on both holes, the only water on the course. From the par-5 4th through to the par-4 12th there are many innovative holes with large elevation changes and excellent bunkering. (6440 metres or 6977 yards, Par 72).
Parco di Roma

Royal Park Golf & Country Club iI Roveri, is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design and is regarded as one of the great man's best in Europe. It is a classical tree-lined Parkland layout in gently undulating terrain, characterised by one good hole after another. There is stunning mountain scenery and many water ditches and small lakes make this a challenging, but fair test of golf. There is a second course underway.
