If you are considering golf in the British Isles, England is the surprise package as it has such a variety of quality golf courses. On the coast there are many highly ranked seaside links as in Scotland and Ireland, but inland it also has world ranked courses such as Walton Heath, Woodhall Spa and Sunningdale, these are known as ‘heathland’ courses and there are many more, mainly to the south west of London.

England is, by its historic past, a ‘treasure trove’ whose riches are part of world culture. The centrepiece for visitors is London with 30 million tourists each year. The choice is overwhelming with over 100 theatres, 300 museums, seven royal palaces and so much more. The countryside is varied and colourful with many interesting small towns and villages where the centre of social life is still the pub.

1. England's Golf Coast
   This tour starts on the north west coast at Southport, the center of a forty-mile stretch of coast containing the best concentration of Championship golf courses in the British Isles including the British Open venues Royal Liverpool, Royal Lytham and Royal Birkdale. The second tour location is York, a historic town with excellent shopping and spectacular countryside close by.
    
2. Golf in London Area
   Within 25 miles of the centre of London are many of the top inland courses in the UK. This golf getaway is based in London to take advantage of the entertainment opportunities, whilst playing some of the best heathland courses outside of the capital.
    
3. Royal Tour in Eastern England
   Many of the best courses in the UK have been favorites with Royal golfers over the years and have been granted a Royal title. This two-location tour starts on the North Norfolk coast where there is a fine collection of traditional seaside and cliff top links. The second location is Canterbury, from here you can play three traditional links courses all of which have staged British Open Championships.
